BASKETBALL  Fundamentals

Hi Parents!

I am excited to announce that CAPE will be offering a Basketball Club during our Friday morning classes starting in March. This will be during our P.E. classes so students will need to choose to participate in basketball OR P.E. We will have limited spots available, so this is for students who want to learn the fundamentals of basketball. Please do not make your child participate in Basketball Club if they are not interested. That being said, I want this to be open to everyone! This will be a relaxed class. This will not be AAU! This is for students who have never been on a team. We will have very new, inexperienced kids learning the basics. Of course, your AAU player is welcome to join as well :) We plan to be at West Valley Park so parents will need to transport their students to/from the church/park for their other classes.

We will have:

Class for 8 -11 year olds,  9:15 am to 10:00 am (15 kids)

Class for 12+. 10:15 to  11:00 (15 kids) 

Requirements for Basketball Club:

-Desire to learn how to play

-Size appropriate basketball for each student. If you have multiple students signing up please make sure each of them has a ball. CAPE does not have any basketballs.

-Tennis shoes-no flip flop or street shoes please

-Water Bottles

-Transportation to and from the park to the church

Homeschool PE Classes

Led by homeschool moms, Christine Cole and Rebekah Boyd Homeschool PE is open to all students ages 5 to 12 years.  Our PE classes will be Friday morning (Yakima Valley Church.) We are planning to have lots of fun, get lots of exercise and learn a little about our bodies and ways to keep ourselves in good health/shape.  There is no cost for these classes and they are open to all CAPE students.

Classes will be split into 2 groups: Ages 5-8 and 9-12 yr.
Parent volunteers are encouraged to help with the younger group.
We are limited class sizes to 40 unless we have more parent volunteers.

 
9:00 - 10:00 Ages 5-12

10:00 - 10:15 am BREAK

NO PE CLASS OFFERED Ages 13 and up at this time

Elementary Exploration

For K thru 3rd grade we are offering an Elementary Exploration class and the teachers will have the freedom to teach art, cooking, science experiments or anything cool!  If you are interested in helping out with this class, contact

                                            Time: 10:15 to 11:15 

                                             Cost $20 for supplies child 

Elementary Exploration Class #1 and  #2
(15 kids in each room)  Parent Rotation.

    WAITLIST SPRING EE 2023 -Doesnt hurt to sign up if enough on 

                                           list we will   open class #2
