JA Finance Classes

This year we are offering Junior Achievement classes for CAPE students (4th-12th)
There will be two classes focusing on finances---this is a 10 week class and the final accumulation is a day spent at the facility in Terrace Heights.  Click below for more information.  The students will be able to put their class knowledge into practice and actually participate in a business. Biztown is (4th-6th graders) and Finance Park is geared for 7th and above.  They will be given life scenarios on iPads and work on budgeting buying house, having a family and salary etc.

Cost is $20  per student to cover materials.  Please be sure to bring payment on the first day of class.  Classes will be every Friday  9:00 am to 10:20 am, starting September 16th through November 18th  Location is Yakima Valley Church.

9:00 - 10:25am Ages 13 and up

10:25 - 10:35am BREAK

10:35 -12:00pm Ages 5-12 (JA 4th - 6th)

Homeschool PE Classes

Led by homeschool mom, Tammie Wood, Homeschool PE is open to all students ages 5 and up.  Our PE classes will coincide with the Friday morning Junior Achievement (see to the left) and be held at the same location (Yakima Valley Church.) We are planning to have lots of fun, get lots of exercise and learn a little about our bodies and ways to keep ourselves in good health/shape.  There is no cost for these classes and they are open to all CAPE students.

Classes will be split into 2 groups: Ages 5-12 and ages 13 and up. Parent volunteers are encouraged to help with the younger group. We are limited class sizes to 35 unless we have more parent volunteers.

Elementary Exploration

For K thru 3rd grade we are offering an Elementary Exploration class and the teachers will have the freedom to teach art, cooking, science experiments or anything cool!  If you are interested in helping out with this class, contact
