Fellows of the Young Academy of India

Elected Fellows are individuals with proven curiosity-driven research track records. Usually, our fellows are mentors who successfully mentored our MentX program. Fellows also encompass others who have made remarkable contributions to the advancement of curiosity-driven blue skies research.  

To become a fellow, please email an application along with a motivation letter and CV highlighting curiosity-driven research undertakings. The basic requirement is a PhD in any field; applicants from the humanities are most welcome. Contact the director for further questions. There are no age limits, so as gender/race/language/disciplines. Fellows from females, LGBTQ+, and humanities/social sciences are most welcome.

Commitments expected: Fellows of YAI are expected to mentor students (mentees) who would like to work under their expertise/guidance. Mentees from underprivileged sections of society are always encouraged, including those from government schools/colleges, low socio-economic backgrounds, girls, LGBTQ+ and so on. Whenever a prospective mentee approaches a fellow mentioning YAI for any guidance/virtual mentorship with you, you as a fellow of YAI commit to give it due consideration.
