Teaching Diverse Students 

Artifact Description: This paper was written for EDUC 380: Diverse and Learner-Ready Teaching at Trinity Christian College. 

IPTS Connection: The objective of this assignment, connecting with standard 1L, was to provide an analysis of the relevant contextual factors that influence teaching and learning in my placement school. These factors include community, district, and/or school factors, classroom factors, student characteristics, and instructional implications. 

What I Learned: I learned the importance of considering the complexities of students and all the factors that contribute to their learning.

Artifact Description: This presentation was created and presented for SPED 216: Introduction to Exceptional Children at Trinity Christian College.

IPTS Connection: The objective of this assignment, connecting with standard 1B, was to demonstrate my knowledge of modifying and making accommodations to a specific classroom practice for my assigned area of exceptionality.

What I Learned: I learned to recognize and respect differences in individual’s experiences, talents, prior learning, language, culture, family, and community values and design instruction so all students can learn.
