In February 2024, I was recruited as the first full-time employee at Maloy Aircraft. As the aeronautical engineer, my responsibility has been to help develop the company’s minimum viable product (MVP) package to present to early adopters, potential customers, and investors. By the end of the first year, I completed the preliminary design of the MA-1 Blue Jay aircraft. In the second year, I focused on developing a flight simulator and began preparing technical information for the FAA Familiarization (FAM) briefing and our Preliminary Type Certification Board (TCB) meeting—key milestones in initiating the aircraft certification process.
