This cyber-physical device is intended for integration with aviation headsets, providing capabilities for cockpit video, audio, and flight data recording. It operates with either USB or 12V power supplies, featuring automatic switching of power and signal sources. The device functions independently as a video recorder and head-mounted flashlight when not connected to the flight controller (FC). Once connected to the FC, it overlays attitude, GPS altitude, and ground speed information onto the video. Additionally, the device offers customizable brightness settings, also including the option to stay on or automatically activate when looking down, and mute when looking out of the windshield.
The majority of parts are custom-designed and produced using a 0.4mm nozzle with Polylactic acid (PLA). Tolerance for the parts is carefully configured in the slicing software, utilizing exclusive settings in Cura. While STL parts exist, they are not currently published as the design undergoes continuous updates.

The upcoming scheduled update, set for February 2024, will include the integration of an uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). This enhancement will enable seamless switching of power and the ability to connect/disconnect the flight controller (FC) while recording.
