In Xavier Middle School, there are 14 teams (9 VEX IQ, 5 VEX VRC). In past years, we have sent many teams to our state championship, and many have got to the worldwide level. We have helped spread the word of robotics through our hometown, Appleton. Through learning and using STEM, we have come far, and are striving to become better.
Currently, we are spreading the news of VEX Robotics throughout our school. We are advertising our home tournaments and encouraging students to come. It is a wonderful opportunity to see robots in action, learn about the design process, and have fun too! Our Wisconsin State Tournament is held this year (2020), in our hometown, Appleton.
This year, we plan to spread the knowledge of robotics in our school, town, and even throughout the world. We strive to do our best and make a difference for the better. We are teaching the younger generation how important STEM-related jobs will be in the future. Between 2019 and 2024, jobs in STEM are expected to grow by approximately 10%. It is crucial that we teach kids that STEM isn't just working in a lab the whole day. STEM jobs can include doctors, veterinarians, astronauts, and even video-game designers.
