H2Hack Info

H2Hack Schedule

Monday

Introductions, discover the centre, team building, project planning.

Tuesday

  • You should all now have a first idea of what you are going to make so it’s time to get making!
  • Don’t worry if the first idea is a lemon, there is time to refine: if you need help from Mentors just ask them.
  • Plan your work – what are the tasks? Who is going to do what – electrical, software, physical build, how much time do you need?

Wednesday

  • More making!
  • You should have all extra bits by now. What help will you need to finish?

Thursday

  • How are we all getting on with our inventions? Will you be finished by the end of tomorrow?
  • Do you need to shift your efforts to a particular area? Do you need to present invention as a proof of concept?

Friday

  • It’s the last day in Monmouth, time to put the finishing touches to your inventions!

Saturday - the London final

All attendees, mentors and centre leads are invited to join us for the final prize-giving event at London’s Ravensbourne University on the 26th of August.

Each team will give a short presentation, explaining and/or demonstrating their invention to a panel of judges and taking questions; these will be approximately 3-5 minutes in length.

There are 5 prize categories; each member of the prize-winning teams will receive an individual trophy, the winners of the Arcola Cup Award will receive an individual trophy plus the huge Arcola Cup Trophy to be shared and displayed at team member’s School, Centre or passed between members.
