For Brad, yoga, like life, is most fully realized when each lived moment is completely profound and full of potential. Yoga cultivates the strength and skillfulness needed to engage life in a way that makes each moment full of meaning, on and off the mat.
After discovering yoga in his late 20’s, Brad saw in yoga a life-long practice and a process of continual transformation. Having taught more than 4,000 hours since receiving his 200 hr certificate in 2007, Brad has seen this transformation occur in himself and in others.
As a constant student of yoga, Brad completed Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor’s Advanced Teacher Intensive in 2017.
Kyle started practicing yoga in 2005 and attended his first teacher training in 2009. He has been teaching since graduating.
Kyle was one of the founding teachers at Yoga Pod Fort Collins and, in 2018, joined the teacher training staff. He is an ERYT-500 and Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance, a certified teacher with Birkam's Yoga College of India, and a Level II CBYT with the Original Hot Yoga Association.
Although Kyle's primary focus is yoga in the Ghosh/Bikram tradition, he has taught vinyasa since 2014 and has a deep appreciation for various styles of posture-based classes.
Jana has been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching yoga since 2015. It was during her teacher training that she met her best friend, and studio owner, Maj-Lis Delgado. They hatched the plan to open Yoga Pod Fort Collins over lunch one day and two years later that dream became a reality. The majority of Jana's teaching experience has been right here at Yoga Pod. The mentorship and collaboration from all of the incredible teachers on staff have provided Jana the education of a lifetime and shaped her into the teacher she is today. Through facilitating 12+ teacher trainings, ongoing education in anatomy, immersions, and a 5 year mentorship with Scott Lamps on yoga history and philosopy, Jana's teaching has developed into something resembling a little bit of everything. Her classes are strength building, fundamentally and foundationally focused, challenging, educational, and community building. Vinyasa is her teaching passion but she loves all the lineages of yoga and offerings at Yoga Pod and has a well rounded practice.
Hannah started practicing yoga after moving to Colorado from Chicago in 2014. Her interest in yoga as a healing offering was sparked after Hannah received a double foot surgery and she was searching for any form of physical relief. She immediately fell in love with the vinyasa practice and now has her 200-hour Vinyasa and 30-hour PodFit certifications from YogaPod. Hannah also has certifications in aerobics for seniors and HIIT. Hannah recently completed her masters in Occupational Therapy from CSU and hopes to one day incorporate yoga with her degree to become an adaptive yoga instructor for individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Hannah believes in creating a holistic yoga environment dedicated to alignment, modifications and overcoming barriers to promote a space of comfort, safety and optimum wellness. In her free time Hannah loves to cook, do any activity in nature (mostly skiing), attend concerts, and explore new knowledge related to the health and fitness world.
Since beginning her teaching practice in 2002, Carolyn has enjoyed multiple styles and ways of practicing yoga. With a lifelong background in dance she maintains a curiosity about all the ways of moving the body and has received teaching certifications from multiple schools of yoga including Jivamukti Yoga and Ghosh Yoga. She also holds a BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA.
Her classes are a moderate flow with longer held postures and periodic rests. She places emphasis on functional movement and allows time for the students to move at their own pace, increasing their strength, flexibility and awareness in the practice safely and gradually.
She feels the practices of breathwork (pranayama) and meditation as well as the continued study of yoga history and philosophy are as important as the practice of postures (asanas). Classes with Carolyn include these elements for a comprehensive experience of yoga.
Her focus as a yoga teacher is to be in service to the growth and understanding of those who come to study with her. She teaches with clarity and compassion, making her classes a welcoming space for everyone at any point along their yoga journey.
Born and raised in Colorado, Joy grew up deeply immersed in Nature and fostered an intuitive ability to tune into subtler realms of reality, to hear Nature's song and to intimately feel the connectedness of all. This sweet song gifted Joy her life's mission- to spread love and healing so that ultimately Mother Earth, and her inhabitants, can evolve and thrive. Mission in mind, Joy earned her 200 hour Yoga Certification in 2015 and followed it up in 2016 with a Usui Reiki Level 3 Certification. As a Reiki Master, Joy tunes into the subtle chakra energies of her students to offer dynamic instruction, poses and adjustments. As a second generation Astrologer, Joy was raised and formally trained to read the stars, track the cycles and live in flow with the Cosmos. Joy infuses her knowledge of the stars into attuned yoga classes that align the body and spirit to the cosmic energetic waves. Joy's intentions are to inspire an empowered life through physical, mental and spiritual alignment.
In her spare time, Joy loves spending time with her family in the beautiful Colorado wilderness: slacklining, paddle-boarding, camping, hiking, snowboarding, biking, long-boarding, & climbing trees. She loves music, travel and deepening her spiritual connection with yoga, meditation, deprivation tanks, breathwork practices, sweat lodge ceremonies, drumming, Earthing, intentional living and plant ceremony.
Maj-Lis's yoga journey began in college when she was a Dance Major at the University of Northern Colorado. She fell in love with the artistic outlet that dance offered and feeling of exhilaration she got while performing on stage. In order to enhance her physical strength and flexibility she began to experiment with yoga and got more then she expected. Yoga offered a space where she could turn inward and explore the mental and physical treasures of herself. Years later after the birth of her daughter took a toll on her body, she found the tools to recover her strength in her local yoga class.
Maj-Lis's vision as a yoga teacher is to support and guide her students on their uniquely individual path while providing a sanctuary of peace for transformation and joy.
Gretchen is a dedicated and spirited 800-hour teacher bringing yoga to all practioners. She believes yoga is a lifelong companion allowing us to seek and peel away layers of our true self to live our lives with clear intention.
In 2011, Gretchen took her 200-hour teacher training at Elan Yoga, with an emphasis on vinyasa and hot. Shortly thereafter she began teaching Bikram style hot yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa classes. Hungry to take her teaching and practice to the next level, Gretchen took a 300-hour level training with Gina Caputo and the Colorado School of Yoga in 2014. This training launched Gretchen into strategically planning and implementing vinyasa flow classes. Most recently, Gretchen took a second 300-hour training though Inner Peace Yoga Therapy in Colorado Springs. Gretchen was able to dive deeper into the subtle body aspects of yoga and its therapeutic benefits.
Gretchen’s classes are prepared with a powerful balance of creativity and purpose. There is a strong focus on breathwork, alignment and discovering inner strength.
When Gretchen is not on her mat she is spending time with family and friends, making malas, or taking advantage of all the wonderful things Colorado life has to offer.
