There are several options for live-streaming, and you can use any of them that is right for you. However, there are a few key features that you will want to consider when choosing your live streaming app for this project:
IOS/Android (Free)
Facebook Live is easy to use and on an app and platform that most people are already a part of. It will allow you to broadcast for a maximum of 4 hours, and streams become videos in your feed automatically and in realtime.

Periscope is its own app, but it is also what powers Twitter Live. Both are popular because of its ease of use and international appeal. The Periscope app connects to your twitter account and will post your live video to your feed. Using the Periscope app has some advantages in that you can customize some video settings, but it does come with some odd disadvantages. For example, it seems Periscope won't "save" your live feed video to Twitter unless you purposefully stop the broadcast. Furthermore Periscope may auto delete your video after 24 hours depending on your settings. In my tests, Twitter seems to do a better job of saving your live video to the cloud and storing it on your twitter feed to retrieve later. If you prefer twitter to facebook, then we suggest using Twitter Live, though Periscope may be worth checking out to see if you like the extra features and you understand its shortcomings.
