The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Official), working together with the Philippine Trade Training Center - Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA), concluded the three-day writing workshop, marking a critical phase in the roll-out and adoption of the Philippine Skills Framework (PSF) on Friday.
The aim was to weave PSF into educational programs, ensuring students gain crucial skills that meet both local and global standards. Dr. Carmencita Castolo, the Executive Director of Open University, and Nelly Nita Dillera, CESO III, Executive Director of the PTTC-GMEA, were at the forefront of this mission.
PUP faculty and administrators have shown a great appreciation for the PSF-aligned syllabi and course materials. Dr. Castolo, in particular, motivated everyone to finalize their courseware and, in return, requested that PTTC award certificates of completion to the faculty involved. During the commitment pledge, the participants promised to deliver the first complete draft of the courseware by June 12-15.
The event wrapped up on a high note with Dr. Desserie T. Maynes-Blanco, Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Development Quality Assurance and the OJT Coordinator of PUP are calling for additional training sessions to benefit more colleges, highlighting the enthusiasm and forward momentum generated by the initial workshop.
