Gongoll Beef is grown locally, just a mile southwest of Mayer, MN, on a third-generation farm, where Fred Gongoll and his son David, raise their Angus beef cattle.
They also farm corn and soybeans, and raise chickens and ducks for fresh eggs.

Unfortunately, the price of the cattle we buy to raise continues to rise. We have been trying to wait it out, hoping prices would go back down, but with no sign that will happen soon, we are forced to raise the price of our beef accordingly.
Beginning August 17th, 2024, prices will be $3.65/lb hanging weight to Gongoll Farms. The butcher's rate is now $0.80/lb, + $25 kill fee per quarter, for a total of $4.45/lb hanging weight.
For your average quarter beef with a hanging weight of 190- 240 lbs, this increases the cost by $77- 92, for a total between $870- $1095.
We appreciate your understanding in this difficult market.
