Like you, we’re RVers too. Over the years (before Blue Line), we’ve been in your shoes:
All prepped for that Summer Camping Vacation. All the last-minute preparations done the night before-- fridge packed, gear stowed, and the truck and trailer hooked together.
You wake up early, you load the kids and the dog in the truck, and you try to get on the road ahead of the traffic. You’re humming along, maybe on the LIE or Sunrise Highway. Maybe further, I-95 or the Turnpike, and then suddenly IT HAPPENS!!!
Something breaks down!!!
It could be a tire, brakes, or a wheel bearing, or even worse; leaf springs, axels, etc. Whatever it is, you’re not going camping, and good luck finding someone to get you back on the road, - AND it’s probably a Saturday, so if you do happen to find a service tech, he’s probably not coming until Monday!
The above scenario has happened to us on many occasions, and even with brand new coaches. After numerous times sitting in truck stops or on the side of the road trying to get help, or waiting long hours (or even days) for the RV dealer to send a mechanic, my decision was made. I had to become a professionally trained and certified RV Repair Technician in order to help myself and to help my fellow RVers, whom I was sure were having the same experiences as I did.
