The Heart of  England Way is a 100 Mile waymarked trail running from Milford Common on Cannock Chase to Bourton on The Water in the Cotswolds. It crosses Beacon Way, Staffordshire Way, Two Saints Way, Arden Way, Cotswold Way, Oxfordshire Way, and Thames Path. It is maintained by the Heart of England Way Association.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PARTS 1 TO 3: CANNOCK CHASE TO LICHFIELD

The first three videos I walk from the Northern edge of Cannock Chase at Milford Common, through Cannock Chase and then on to Lichfield, finishing at the end of part 3 at Lichfield Cathedral. 

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PARTS 4 TO 6: LICHFIELD TO KINGSBURY

The next section continues from Lichfield Cathedral to Kingsbury, passing through the village of Drayton Basset before making our way onto the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal and then Kingsbury Water Park.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PARTS 7 TO 9: KINGSBURY TO THE M6

The next section continues from Kingsbury to the Meriden, passing through Whitacre Heath, Shustoke Reservoir, crossing the M6 Motorway and finishing part 9 at The Queens Head Pub, Meriden.

The next section continues from Meriden, Starting in part 10 where we finished in part 9 at the Queens Head pub and continuing via Berkswell to The Saracens Head, Balsall Common

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 11: Balsall Common to Lapworth

The next section continues from The Saracens Head, Balsall Common where we finished in part 10. We continue to Kingswood Junction where the Grand Union Canal meets the North and South Stratford Canals near the village of Lapworth.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PARTS 12 & 13: Lapworth to Alcester Via Henley in Arden

The next section continues from The Saracens Head, Balsall Common where we finished in part 10. We continue to Kingswood Junction where the Grand Union Canal meets the North and South Stratford Canals near the village of Lapworth.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PARTS 14 & 15: Alcester to Long Marston via Bidford on Avon

The next section continues from Centenary Field, Alcester and we continue to Bidford on Avon

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 16: Long Marston to Mickleton

We continue from Long Marston to Mickleton, passing the Stratford Greenway and Meon Hill along the way

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 17:  Mickleton to Chipping Camden

We continue from St Lawrence Church and make our way to the market town of Chipping Camden, passing through Bakers Hill Wood where we find some old tree carvings.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 18:  Chipping Campden to Blockley

We continue from Chipping Campden where we finished in part 17 and walk to the village of Blockley which is used as a filming location for the BBC TV series Father Brown. We also pass through the small village of Broad Campden.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 19 & 20:  Blockley to Lower Swell via Longborough

We continue from the village of Blockley which is used as a filming location for the BBC TV series Father Brown and make our way to Longborough in part 19, passing by The Cotswolds Falconry Centre and Sezincote House along the way. Then in part 20 I continue from Longborough to Lower Swell, passing Donnington Brewery and Upper Swell along the way.

THE HEART OF ENGLAND WAY PART 21:  Blockley to Lower Swell via Longborough

We finish The Heart of England Way, continuing from Lower Swell where we finished in part 20, we make our way to Bourton on the Water via Lower Slaughter, where we stop for a quick explore. We also explore Bourton at the beginning and again at the end of the video, with a bus ride to Stow on the Wold to help shorten the walk.
