Gates Scholarship - September 15th deadline

Eligibility:
A high school senior
From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
Pell-eligible
A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
QuestBridge - September 29th deadline

Eligible for non-citizens, but depends on the partner institution as well
For low-income, often first-generation college students with high academic achievement
Typically for students from households earning $65,000 annually for a family of four
AES Engineering Scholarship - due Oct 5th
Must submit an essay (500-1000 words) answering the following question: "When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?"

Award amount: $500
Horatio Alger Association - due October 25th
Horatio Alger National Scholarship ($25,000) and State Scholarship ($10,000)
Eligibility criteria:
Demonstrate financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)

up to $40,000 per year in scholarship
Eligibility:
3.5 or above unweighted GPA
Demonstrated financial need - will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation - due October 31st at 5pm
Must have a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA; awarded $20,000
Chosen based on leadership, academics, and service
Voice of Democracy Scholarship - due October 31st
Award up to $30,000, other awards range from $1,000-$16,000
2020-2021 essay theme: "Is This the Country the Founders Envisioned?"
Elks National Foundation Scholarship - due November 15th
Awards range from $1,000 to $12,500 per year, give out 500 four-year scholarships per year

Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Teachers - due Dec 1st
Stipend of $2,000
Eligibility: pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools; showing promise of success in their studies; U.S. citizen
Burger King Scholars Program - due Dec 15th
Scholarships range from $1,000 to $50,000
Selection based on GPA, work experience, extracurricular activities, and community service
Foot Locker Scholar Athlete Program - due January 3rd, 2021
$20,000 awarded to a high school senior scholar athlete
Eligibility: 3.0 GPA since first semester in 9th grade, a member on a high school sports team or involved in other after-school sports (i.e. martial arts), U.S. citizen/permanent resident
Ron Brown Scholarship - due January 9th, 2021
Award of $40,000 total ($10,000/year) to community-minded and academically successful African American students
Eligibility: Must be Black/African American, leadership and community service activities, demonstrate financial need
