Common App is one application that can then be used to send to specific colleges/universities, both within and outside of North Carolina. The general application will ask for an essay, basic demographic information, involvement in high school, etc. Some colleges/universities ask for an additional short essay. They will also ask for your school counselor's contact information in order to send your transcript and other supporting documents.
Common App allows you to list me (your college advisor) as an "Advisor" in order for me to see application progress and provide supporting materials.

CFNC is a great resource where you can not only apply to colleges but also look into career planning and sending your transcript. CFNC is linked to RDS, which means you will use the same login information for both.
