Textbook adoptions are completed through Verba Collect. Prior to the start of each semester, instructors will receive an email with instructions and a link to complete their course material adoptions.
Completing your adoption accurately and on time is important. Your adoption information helps the bookstore identify the correct textbooks, digital materials, courseware, and other required materials for your course.
When selecting Inclusive Access (IA), please select IA only for materials that are required for the course. If a material is optional, recommended, or supplemental, PLEASE DO NOT select it for Inclusive Access. Students are automatically enrolled and billed for materials designated as IA, so it is important that only required materials are included.
Please review your course information carefully when completing your adoption and make sure that all required materials are listed accurately. If you have questions or need to make a change to your adoption, please contact the Western Wyoming College Bookstore for assistance.

Choosing Inclusive Access (IA) for your course does not mean the setup is complete. Instructors are responsible for connecting their digital course materials to their Canvas course so students can access them.
If your course uses courseware:
The courseware must be deep linked within Canvas. This allows students to access the specific courseware and materials required for your course directly through Canvas.
Implement the Deep linking Tool in the LMS for Courseware Integrations – VitalSource Success
Deep Linking to a Specific Location in an eBook (LTI 1.3) – VitalSource Success

If your course uses a textbook-only option:
The VitalSource Course Materials button must be added to your Canvas course. This is how students will access their digital textbook.

If you need additional assistance setting up your course, please contact the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) for support.
Please make sure your syllabus lists the correct course materials for the current semester. Updating your course materials each semester is important to ensure students receive access to the correct materials.
This course participates in the Inclusive Access program powered by VitalSource. This means you will receive digital access to the required course materials on the first day of class through Canvas. Students are automatically enrolled in Inclusive Access, and the cost of the digital materials will be billed directly to their student account. Inclusive Access materials are provided at a negotiated course price designed to offer students an affordable option for required course materials.
Your Inclusive Access materials will be available through the VitalSource Bookshelf in Canvas. If you choose to purchase your required materials elsewhere, you may opt out of Inclusive Access by the applicable deadline. Please note that opting out will remove your access to the digital course materials provided through this program.
