WUDFA is a faculty club that aims to help and support PAIS students to excel in their studies, but we also want our students to make friends and get involved in our social events! We provide a variety of events, from guest lectures and learning workshops, to trivia nights and UniBar gatherings - something for everyone interested in politics and international relations.
Not at all! You don't have to be a PAIS student to get involved with WUDFA - we welcome all students from any discipline or field. As long as you're interested in topics like international relations, politics, history, economics, or law - there's a place for you at WUDFA!
During semester, WUDFA holds a weekly executive meeting - a private forum for club event organisation and new ideas to invest in or explore. Our public meetings were suspended due to COVID-19, but each year we host an Annual General Meeting to discuss what we did that year, our plans for the upcoming year, and elect new executive members.
Model United Nations (or MUN) is an academic simulation of United Nations procedure. Students participate as delegates from different countries and organisations. They have negotiations, debates and discussions in order to draft a majority resolution within their available resources and policies.
WUDFA runs an annual GongMUN Conference, as well as a number of society meets and training days throughout the university year. For more information, visit our MUN page or check out our social media!
There are many ways to get involved in WUDFA and its events! You can:
Follow our social media (you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn),
Check out our upcoming events page and come along to an event,
Become an official member through our UniClubs page, or
Find our stall at O-week, or
We're always looking to welcome new faces to our club!
Our 2024 Executives have been already been elected, but if you would like to join the team in 2025, WUDFA holds an Annual General Meeting at the end of the Spring session that allows anyone to register their interest for any executive role. Keep updated on our social media and events page to find out more.
