Remembrance Day Ceremony - Novemeber 11, 2020 (75 years since the end of WWII)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FRWV6b-XtA

Hello Everyone,

I know many of you are wondering what Remembrance Day at W. Ross Macdonald School might be like this year. It will certainly be different compared to ones in the past, but hopefully memorable to students, staff and families of WRMS.

The theme of the service this year is commemorating 75 years since the end of World War 2. This year a Remembrance Day video has been created with the collaboration and hard work of many students and staff. The video is approximately 45 minutes in length, and we ask that you watch it with your homeroom class on Wednesday November 11th, 2020 (9-10am). Please keep in mind that this is a private link and we ask that you please do not repost or share this presentation on any social media in the future. Parents, and staff are welcome to watch this at anytime, thank you.

After watching the video, classes are asked to make their way outside to see, touch and explore the art installation, “In Flanders Fields”. It is located in the front administration area (circular drive) around the fountain. Around 10:30 am there will be a memorable event (WW2 Lancaster Bomber fly-over arranged by a member of our staff) not to be missed. A moment of silence will follow at 11:00am.
