TO DO LIST - Fall 2021
Assembly to Kick off the Anniversary Year - invitation to all staff and students to contribute to planning and preparation (Tech class: basket weaving, History classes, English classes - read, write, record stories, Drama Class - prepare skits/ play, Communication Class - Create a social media platform - (Facebook?) - to advertise anniversary, display Heritage minutes etc; Math classes- investigate old learning methods - abacus - use and demonstrate; Social sciences classes- investigate lifestyle differences from 1871; elementary classes - learn about areas of curriculum that could tie in with 150th Anniversary; DB - 150th celebration prep; Braille teacher (Ms Ausman) - Research and prepare a story re the history of Braille used at WRMS, Braillers etc; Tech/Outdoor Ed- create a time capsule structure; Sewing class - costumes; Cooking class - food/recipes from 1871; Music Classes - sing/record the new 150th Anniversary song; Phys Ed - create a relay or an Event of 150km that we run together - teams, schedule that we each run 1/2 to 1 km for a total of 150km;
Challenge to all: Think of a way that you could contribute to a display or presentation or story for the Anniversary
