Reports directly to the Group Commander
Assume command of the corps in the absence of the Group Commander and Deputy Group Commander
Coordinate and control the squadron operations staff
Oversee training and duties of Flight Commanders, Flight Sergeants, and chosen Flight Guidon Bearers
Keep the Group Commander informed of all activities related to this staff position
Track the corps calendar of events
Recommend cadets for awards and decorations
Review Staff Reports with Knight Squadron Operations Officer
Review submitted After Action Reports (AARs) within 48 hours of receipt and prepare an annual AAR at the close of the season for presentation to the Group Commander and instructors
Assist the Deputy Group Commander as otherwise directed
Oversee functions and provide direction for Flight Commanders
Ensure Flight Commanders are trained to conduct responsibilities
Track and monitor all forms (contracts, uniform issues, etc.) collected by Flight Commanders
Reports directly to the Knight Squadron Commander
Assume command of the Knight Squadron during the Squadron Commander’s absence
Coordinate and control the flights and divisions
Keep the Knight Squadron Commander informed of all activities related to this staff position
Track the corps calendar of events
Maintain the operational functions of the corps, to include oversight of the training and duties of Flight Commanders and Flight Sergeants (ETC.)
Collect and maintain extra-curricular events documents in the Events Folder
Ensure proper loading and closure of events (LDR, community service, etc.) in WINGS
Monitor the planning, execution, and completion of events
Review Staff Reports with Knight Squadron Commander
Reports directly to the Knight Squadron Operations Officer
Act as a role model towards other cadets, especially underclassmen
Call the class to attention at the end of the tardy bell and prior to dismissal
Dismiss the flight only with the permission of the instructor
Call role and hand out all papers under the direction of the instructor
Monitor appearance, discipline, efficiency and training of the flight as well as conduct of flight members in the academic classroom
Control the flight efficiently in the absence of the instructor.
Remain aware of new information on the cadet bulletin board and inform cadets of any new information on the cadet bulletin board at the beginning of each class period
Ensure that the classroom is left in an orderly and clean condition at the end of each class period
If the class is allowed to leave before cleanup, ensure that the classroom is clean prior to departure
Initiate inspection of the flight when authorized by the instructor
Effectively and accurately complete the “uniform inspection sheet” and turning it in to the instructor
Act as advisor to the SASI/ASI on matters pertaining to the flight
Lead and direct the flight at all Corps and flight functions
Advise the SEA of discipline problems
Encourage, motivate, and take care of their flight members, build teamwork, respect, and pride
Display enthusiasm and passion!
Set a high standard and example in being active in our corps by wearing the uniform as well as displaying positive behavior, discipline, and responsibility
Reports directly to the Knight Squadron Operations Officer
Act as a role model towards other cadets, especially underclassmen
Hand out “classroom” textbooks at the beginning and end of the period when working on academics
Prepare the flight for inspections (alignment, sizing, opening ranks), assist the Flight
Commander during the inspection, and record demerits on the inspection sheet for grading
Select a primary and alternate Flight Guidon
Assist the Flight Commander as required and assume the Flight Commanders duties in his/her absence
