What is the role of the Booster Club?

The role of the WHS Band Booster Club is to support all students are participating in the band programs at Wren High School. The Wren Band Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization and is registered with the SC Secretary of State whose mission and vision is to provide necessary volunteer and financial support to the Wren High School Bands to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in band.

When does the Booster Club have meetings?

The Wren Band Booster Club meets once a month (except June & July) in the band room to discuss all activities for each part of the band program – and most importantly how the boosters can support these activities. Most parents find it extremely helpful and informative to attend these meetings! Even the most conscientious student can forget to pass on certain information to their parents.

Executive Board

An Executive Board consists of officers and committee chairpersons and is responsible for guiding all of the booster activities. Officers are elected by members of the booster club each year in April. Officers and committee chairpersons serve for one year, with the exception of treasurer (a two year commitment). The Executive board positions include: President, 1st and 2nd Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Members At-Large.

Booster committees exist to ensure the various activities of the band and boosters are properly coordinated and executed. All booster members are encouraged to participate in committees.

Fundraisers

The WRHS Band Boosters work tirelessly to provide opportunities for all members and their family members to raise money for the band. These fundraising events are made available to parents and students to raise funds for their students and to help defer the costs of participation in the band program. No individual is forced to work a fundraiser; however, all students are highly encouraged to participate in the numerous opportunities to raise money for themselves and the band!

Example fundraisers throughout the year have included the Fruit Fundraiser, the Cookie Dough Fundraiser, the Coffee Fundraiser, and working the concession stands at Clemson football and basketball games.
