Conclusion
Goal: Reflect and extend learning
The Conclusion is thoughtfully designed to bring the WQ to a close and encourages further exploration of the topic.
Provide students with the opportunity to reflect on the way their understanding of the topic changed, challenges they faced, and how they overcame them. You don't have to wait until the conclusion to initiate reflection though.
Reflection opportunties:
Process - Ask for short reflections often to identify areas where guidance is needed, and to provide students continuous opportunities to learn how to learn.
Progress - Reflections on individual and group progress allow you to provide "just in time" support.
Product - After the product is submitted/presented, students should spend time looking back at how their process and progress monitoring led to the creation of the learning artifact and how they might adjust to make the final product stronger in the futures.
Encourage further exploration of the topic with additional resources, connections to other courses, and real-world ways to keep learning.
