Bookings for the summer of '25 are officially open!
As of 2022, the Red Cross is no longer running their swim programs including their swim school and lifesaving courses. They have decided to focus on humanitarian efforts. The Lifesaving Society is now endorsed by the Red Cross and runs swimming lessons.
The new levels your swimmers will be enrolled in were created collaboratively by both the Red Cross and the Lifesaving Society. The criteria and skills listed in each level are extremely similar to the Red Cross' previous programming. The only difference is the Lifesaving Society's levels are numbered while the Red Cross' levels were named sea creatures and "swim kids".
So, if your swimmer was previously at the salamander level, their level will be converted into a numbered level instead of the regular sea creature levels. Based on the charts and advice we have been given as instructors, we would enroll a "Salamander" swimmer as a "Preschool 2" swimmer under the Lifesaving Society.
It is also important to note that the "Salamander" swimmer would be enrolled in "Preschool 2". The swimmer completed the Lifesaving Society's "Preschool 1" when they did the Red Cross' "Salamander". So now, when they are enrolled in lessons with us, they will be enrolled in "Preschool 2", which is a level ahead of "Salamander". Your swimmer will never be repeating any levels while we transition them between the two programs.
