We deliver a 'What's on' leaflet to every house in Woodgate and you can also get copies from the reception area of the Community Centre. Do you want to receive it by email? Sign up for our mailing list here.

Councillor surgeries

Fosse Ward is represented by two city councillors, Sue Waddington and Syed Zaman. They have surgeries twice a month where you can go in person to talk over local issues of concern.

Cllrs. Sue Waddington and Syed Zaman will be holding surgeries at the Centre on the first Saturdays of the month, 11.00am to Noon. There is a private area for your conversation, and a seated waiting area.

The Centre regularly hosts ward community meetings, which take place every three months. Members of the Resident's Association attend, at whichever venue is decided. 

Gardening Group

We have a gardening group to look after the hanging baskets and planters along Woodgate.  Contact the Centre if interested in helping.

Woodgate Wombles

Woodgate has its own litter picking group which meets regularly to keep the area tidy. All the equipment you need will be provided by the Resident's Association - pickers, gloves, bags and hi-vis jackets. Look out on the Facebook group for dates or contact the Centre.

What's on every week

As well as our Music teaching, these groups and events are hosted at the Centre:

Seniors and over-50s Keep Fit: Mondays, 10.30am-11.30am, Thursdays 11.00am – Noon. Cost £1.00 per session, includes tea, coffee and biscuits. Suitable for all ages - music from 60's, 70's 80's.

Senior Citizens Club: Mondays, 2.00 – 4.00pm. Cost £2.00 per session. Contact the Centre or just turn up.

Yoga: Mondays 6.00 – 7.15pm and 7.30-8.45. Cost £5.00 per session (£4.50 unwaged). Please ring to book.

Lunch Club: Mondays and Thursdays 12.30– 1.30pm. Cost £3.00 for a main course, pudding and tea or coffee. Best to ring to book first.

Our Co-op Friendship Group: Tuesdays 10.00 – Noon. Cost £1.00 per session. Activities: card making/knitting/crocheting, shared skills. Come along and meet new friends.

War Games. Thursdays 7.30 – 11.00pm plus 2nd and 4th Wednesdays Cost £3.00 per session. Contact 07568 370811 for more details.

Madrasah Faruqiyyah. Friday Jumu'hah Prayers: 1st session 1.00 – 1.30pm.  2nd session 1.50 – 2.10pm Phone 07404 523076.
