All of the STEM challenges I create are great for small or large groups of students. The challenges that require more supplies are typically challenges that I will do as a whole class or even as a project with our science buddy classroom. More basic STEM challenges (less supplies or easier directions) are placed at my STEM center for students to complete independently or with a partner.
Project-based learning is an area that I'm always learning more about. I have found that reading other teacher's examples have been more worthwhile than any book I've read or training I've attended so far.
Because of the open-ended nature of STEM challenges, many of my STEM challenges can be adapted to be a project-based learning activity if you add an essential question. Have you successfully adapted one? Brag tweet me @WonderXWorkshop!
