High Ladies!

We’re Annie & Amanda of The High Ladies Podcast! It’s so great to meet you!

We were both closet consumers for many, many years, only sharing that aspect of our lives with friends and family who we were very close with and outwardly identified as cannabis friendly. How did we go from hiding such a significant part of our lives to hosting a podcast and talking daily about cannabis with our flowers and friends? Easy, we were sick of hiding.

We met each other through our children’s school community, our daughters were in the same kindergarten classroom, we knew each other but were not immediately drawn to each other. It was after serving on the school council for a year and half that we “outed” ourselves, while counting pizza money one Friday morning.

Although cannabis is legal in Canada, there is still quite a stigma towards people who choose to consume cannabis. We realized that there were many people in our close circles who were also closet consumers, and we wanted to open up a conversation, provide a safe, fun and accepting place where people could share their lived experiences, gain some knowledge and understand that they are part of a wider community of consumers and cultivators.
