Our Pre-CanSkate program is for skaters with little to no skating experience and are generally 3-6 years of age. This program introduces children to skating through games and focuses on basic movement skills such as skating forward and backward, jumping, and turning.
Our CanSkate program is for skaters who have completed Pre-CanSkate or who have basic skating skills. This program teaches skaters the fundamentals of skating by focusing on balance, control, and agility skills as well as focusing on power and speed. This program is choreographed to music and is lead by trained coaches and Program Assistants (PAs).
Our StarSkate Development program is for skaters who are working on stages 4-6 of the CanSkate program and wish to pursue figure skating. This program is coached by a Skate Canada Professional Coach and skaters are still able to earn their CanSkate ribbons and badges while they also practice basic figure skating skills.
Our StarSkate program is for skaters who have finished stage 6 of the CanSkate program and want to continue in the sport of figure skating. Skaters will work on their Star 1-5 assessments in group and individual formats while being coached by a Skate Canada Professional Coach.
