How to make the most of the festival's interactive schedule

The interactive schedule makes it easy for you to control which events you want to see, and to search for bands and events.

You can find the desktop calendar on the Festival's Schedule page.

There is also a free app for Android and iPhone / iPad, so that you can easily use it at the event to see what's happening. Information how where to find the app and how to install it and add the Festival Schedule are at Installing the mobile app and adding the schedule

Hide what you don't want to see

The schedule contains a number of colour coded calendars for different types of events and each of the stages. If you're not interested in Yoga or the Kids' activities, for instance, it's easy to hide those calendars, so that you can focus on the things you DO want, and more easily see which artists are performing when.

To do that, just click on the coloured calendar name in the side bar (swipe from the left of the screen to see the side bar in the phone app). The name of the calendar will turn pale, and its events will disappear from the screen. To see them again, just click the name again.

Clicking or tapping on the eye icon at the right of the calendar name will show only that calendar. Clicking it again when it's the only one visible will display all the others again.

And of course, if you don't care who's playing on the stages and just want to know what else is happening, you can hide the two Stage calendars, and focus on the Family activities, Food and Drink, Yoga and Macbeth instead.

Make sure your information is up to date

At any festival, there may inevitably be few changes to the line-up of events. The calendar will periodically update automatically, but you can make sure you're bang up to date by clicking the circular arrow Refresh button.

See events in different layouts

The desktop and the mobile app each have different ways to view the events in the calendar, so you can switch to whichever view suits you best.

Desktop

On desktop, you can choose a view from the top right of the screen. If you have a small screen or window, the options may be shown as a drop down list instead of side by side as in the screenshots below.

In any view you can hide the side panel by clicking on the << icon at the top of the page, just to the right of the word "Calendars". To show it again, click on >> in the top left corner.

Mobile app

In the mobile app, open the side bar (drag from the left of the screen) to select your chosen view. Note that for this many events, Month view isn't very useful! Week view starts from Saturday for the Festival, to get something as close as possible to the desktop 3 day view.

Click or tap on any event to see more detail about it, and a link to the relevant page(s) on the Wokingham Festival Website.

Searching / Filtering

Finding things works rather differently on desktop compared with the app. In all cases, your search will only show you results from your currently selected Calendars, so if you have hidden the Family Events, a search won't show you any events in the Family Calendar.

In both cases, if you search for more than one word, you'll see results for events which include any of the words (e.g. sugar OR and"... which will find Andrew, Andy and handmade, as well as the word "and"). To search for an exact phrase, put it in double quotes, e.g. "Sugar and".
