Students will go over the class syllabus with the teacher.
Students will know what to do when: they are tardy, need to use the bathroom, need to see the school nurse, etc.
Students will know the class cell phone policy.
Students will explain the need for rules.

Tardy Policy
All students not in class after the bell rings need to get a pass from the tardy machine (Lunchroom or Attendance Office)
If the tardy station is closed (10 after bell), come to class and it will be documented with Admin.
Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones are not needed for class. Cell phones should be placed in the blue cell phone caddy. At any point I see a cell phone in your hand or on your desk, I can ask you to put in the the caddy.
Laptop computers will be used, so bring your laptops!
You should not be recording any video of anyone unless it's a Flipgrid assignment.

No bathroom the first 10 min. of class
Look if there is a bathroom pass available, if so ASK the teacher to use the bathroom.
You MUST sign out to use the bathroom writing your full name date and time.
You MUST take the bathroom pass with you.

The nurse is here if you cannot function because you are ill, to administer prescription medications, and in case of emergencies.
All other needs can be addressed by the teacher.

In your small group, turn these Policies into signs I can post in our classroom. Have a discussion about the nature or rules, what they are good for, and come up with a positive slogan to follow these policies, like, "Follow the policy, it's key ."
