General Rally Information
ALL competitors MUST be able to SAFELY manage their horse with MINIMAL assistance.
Parking: Please refer to map regarding trailer and spectator parking. Please remember that parents are not allowed in the barns or designated competition areas from the official start of the rally until the official end of the rally. You may see your competitor in the neutral zone only. Any urgent needs please contact horse management or your team chaperone. Please see the HM Rulebook for more details on this subject. We don’t want any competitors to be awarded a penalty or disqualified for unauthorized assistance.
Schooling of Horses: Horses may be schooled on Friday between 2-5:30 pm and Saturday between 4pm-7 pm (after SJ competition has concluded) in the warm up area ONLY! Schooling in the competition areas is strictly prohibited!
Grazing Areas: Horses may be grazed and hand walked on any of the grassy areas around the outdoor arenas or grassy areas near trailers. All pastures are OFF LIMITS!
Lunging: If you know a horse will need to be lunged while at rally, you must provide a qualified person for lunging (refer to HM Handbook). This person must be aware of and adhere to the pony club guidelines for lunging (i.e.: correct attire and equipment). Lunging is allowed in the round pen designated on the map.
Tack Rooms: You will work out of stalls. This is an overnight rally with feed stalls and charts etc. Please review overnight rally rules. Pony Clubbers are responsible to provide their own stall shavings. Stalls must be picked clean and inspected by the designated official before you leave the grounds. Failure to clean your stall will result in a $75 fee per stall to each club. Bristol Hills will clean stalls for $50. Sign up sheet at Secretary desk. East Aurora can provide shavings for $12 per bag. Email lorigmerek@gmail.com by June 4 to order.
Additional stalls for horses not competing in both rallys may be available but at this time are not guaranteed and dependent on number of participants.
