Formal Inspections: If you participated in formal inspections for SJ Rally and were happy with your score you do not have to repeat you inspection for Dressage. You must complete formal inspections if you are only competing in Dressage Rally and may repeat if you were unhappy with yours score for SJ Rally.
Arena size: Intro tests will be ridden in a small, 20x40 arena; Training level and above as well as all musicals will be ridden in a large, 20x60 arena
DRESSAGE TESTS:
All regular Dressage classes will use 2019 USDF Intro tests and 2019 USEF Dressage tests for Training level and above. Training Level and above Musical Freestyle, Training Level and above Pas de Deux and Intro and above Quadrille will use the 2019 USDF score sheets.
Tests: All riders shall ride two tests of choice, one lower and one upper (see 2022 Dressage Rulebook and the 2022 Dressage Newsletter for requirements for riders attempting to qualify for Championships). Tests will be performed consecutively - Ring 1 followed IMMEDIATELY by Ring 2.
Riders will choose a division and enter the specific tests for that division;
Intro - will ride Intro A and B
Modified Training Level - will ride Training 1 & 2
Standard Training Level - will ride Training 2, 3 and a musical
Modified First Level - will ride First 1 & 2
Standard First Level - will ride First 2, 3 and a musical
Dressage will run in this order:
Standard First level
Modified First level
Standard Training level
Modified Training level
Intro. level
Musicals
Calling of tests: Calling of tests will be allowed at all levels. Each rider must provide an appropriate person to read their test, one will not be provided.
NOTE: Tests may not be called at Championships so it is highly recommended that all qualifying riders ride their test from memory.
Music for Freestyles and Pas de Duex – must be transferred digitally at the start of the day to the office. No other format.
Whips: One whip, no longer than 47.2 inches (120 cm), including the lash may be used for all classes. However since whips are not allowed at USPC Championships it is highly recommended that all qualifying riders refrain from using them in Regional Competition
Dogs: Absolutely no dogs at the show, no exceptions.
