Meet our WJCEA Executive Board

2024-2025

The WJCEA Executive Board is composed of the Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary), five members who are to be present at 80% of the meetings elected at-large from the Active membership, and the immediate past president. Elections are held annually in the Spring. The WJCEA Executive Board meets monthly and works to:

Address member questions and concerns
Prepare for meetings with administration, Board members, and other WJCC and community stake-holders
Coordinate activities to inform members of policies, programs, and accomplishments of the Association
Conduct programs for the orientation of new teachers
Organize activities to serve the needs of the members and promote fellowship within the Association
Approve expenditure of funds
Prepare the agenda for the Delegate Assembly meetings, make recommendations to the Delegate Assembly, and implement policies established by the Delegate Assembly

Marco Sardi

WJCEA President

Hello! My name is Marco Sardi and I am the Orchestra teacher at James Blair Middle School. I am currently the President for the Williamsburg-James City Education Association and have been at JBMS for four years. My role in WJCC as an educator has always been to help and advocate for my students and fellow colleagues in the division. For my second year as president, I will continue to advocate for our educator and educator support professionals and promote equitable opportunities for the students here in WJCC.
