The examination takes place fully clothed with the exception of shoes, coats and thick woolly jumpers!
You will be asked to walk up and down, to sit and then to lie on the couch. The exam itself starts with taking the case history (the pain, any connected symptoms and general medical history), followed by the visual assessment of the walk/posture and finally the palpation, a gentle hand pressure to evaluate the problem. You will then be asked to sit to discuss the details of the exam and the proposals for helping your body to heal itself. There will be a best possible estimate of how long the symptoms will last and how many treatments needed. Many problems resolve in two to four sessions.
At the Wishing Well we use the minimum of pressure to correct restrictions, normally this is both comforting and comfortable.
