Following Jin’s enlistment, the STAY members were gearing for their first comeback as a group - now titled Chain Reaction. This new release was monumental for the project group, since that served as a celebration of their first debut anniversary.

It’s hard to believe that the project group had come this far. One year had passed since their debut, and by this time the members seem to be functioning like a real group. From events to music show wins to even a comeback, it felt as if the members had been working together even when they are apart - when they actually never met as the five of them. That was how successful I’ve become as their fan-ager. I’ve never been more prouder than this!

But looking back at this crazy journey we had over the past year..

It seemed that the discourse on Cara’s fate has changed this whole paradigm in leadership. While he became unpredictable, I became bolder. I was an entirely different person at the start of the year, when STAY just made their debut, not knowing what’s to come for me. I don’t know exactly what made me pursue everything I did this year. I just happen to find myself a little more brave than before. I’ve had far more experience than what I had from the start. I also met a lot of people along the way - probably the year when I met the most people in this leadership. I even thought I could be more successful than what I am now!

Yet at the same time, each passing day Cara was becoming more and more unpredictable. Every day, since early November 2021, we've been treading on delicate ground, not knowing what will come. And now it even reached the point where he.. went on a freefall.

He’s now arguably at his lowest point as a leader.

I missed the old Cara, when everything was peaceful without any stress and apprehension.

But we do not have control over his situation.

All we can do is to rely on everything.

Besides, if anything happens at least he won’t leave empty-handed. For him to have accomplished enough in nearly four years is an understatement. Although waiting for his revival, Cara became a top tier leader without a doubt. It will only be a matter of time for him to become greater than he’s already been.

But now the time had come.

As they say, all good things must come to an end.

It’s been two months since Cara made this heartfelt choice.. and the time finally came for him to tell the world about it.

The end was really coming.

He decided to take full control over his fate.
