ENS 301.02

Methods in Interdisciplinary Environmental & Sustainability Studies

Over the course of the semester, students in ENS 301 develop a research proposal on an interdisciplinary environmental topic of their choice. The students write a 3,000-word proposal that includes a literature review, research question, theoretical framework, and research design. The students think through the details of designing a sound research project including population, sampling, variables, hypotheses, threats to validity, data collection methods, analysis methods, and more. The presentations below demonstrate highlights from the students' research proposals.
