When I first stumbled across Ivan Brunetti's work, I got a little ticked off, thinking, "How in the heck does THIS guy get work? His Art is so simple!?" But watching these two videos made me realize he puts a lot of thought into his illustrations.
I've purchased both of these books from Ivan Brunetti, but only finished the first one ("Aesthetics: A Memoir"). This second one, ("Cartooning: A Philosophy and Practice.") is smaller, but packed with 17 lessons on every aspect of Cartooning.
Really cool, deceptively simple-looking animated short video presenting the process of creating the animation, using adobe Illustrator and After Effects, and Instagram.
