Registration for the 2025-26 Preschool Year is currently under way!

Things you Need to Know
TERM DATES
There will be no classes for the Public Holidays, Winter Break, and Spring Break as shown in the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB) calendar for the given school year (https://epsb.ca/calendars/printablecalendars/).
Classes will remain in session during PD Days, Teachers’ Convention, Teachers’ Days in Lieu, and Board Approved Non-instructional Days.
Classes will begin after Labour Day with a gradual entry determined by the Teacher.
Classes will end mid-June, determined by the Teacher.
Classes will be held regardless of temperature, provided the building is warm enough.
REGISTRATION DATES
Dates of registration will be publicized in the WPCL weekly e-news, on social media @windsorparkcommunityleague, the community league website and in our quarterly local print newsletter 'The Windsor Park Press'.
COMMUNITY LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP
Residents of Windsor Park whose children attend the preschool must be hold a valid Windsor Park community league membership ($25). Non-residents of Windsor Park must hold a valid WPCL Associate Membership ($25). Purchase or renew your membership HERE.
CLASS ENROLMENT
The size of enrolment for each session is determined by the Preschool Subcommittee in consultation with the teacher and in accordance with licensing regulations.
Three-year-old class
The child must be three-years-old by December 31 of the school year. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis at the discretion of the teacher.
Four-year-old Class
The child must be four-years-old by December 31 of the school year. Exceptions to the above age applies only when enrolment numbers are low. In this circumstance, the Preschool Subcommittee may move some three year olds to the four year old class. Three year olds in attendance are required to be age three by the commencement date in September of the school year, unless the Teacher approves otherwise.
5-Day Program
If there is space, a child who meets the age requirements for the four-year-old class may register in all 5 days at the preschool. In this case, the child pays one Registration Fee along with the complete Registration package for each class.
HOW TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD
Your application for a preschool spot will only be considered complete when the following has been received for each child that you are registering:
A completed registration form and registration fee.
Copy of child's birth certificate or proof of age
Proof of Windsor Park Community League Membership (for WP and non-WP residents). Purchase your membership HERE.
PRIORITY
Three-year program: Windsor Park residents and siblings of children currently in the program will be given first priority until March 31 to enroll in the Preschool for the following year. After that date, priority will be given first to siblings of former students and second to children in order of application, regardless of place of residence.
Four-year program: Children already attending the three-year-old group who wish to join the four-year-old group for the following year must do so before February 28 in order to have first priority. After that date, Windsor Park residents will be given second priority until March 31. After that date priority will be given first to siblings of former students and second to children in order of application, regardless of place of residence.
ADMISSION ACCEPTANCE
Acceptance emails will be sent to confirm admission for the upcoming school year. Registrations will be accepted until classes are full. If classes are full before 31st March of the attending school year, a wait list will be started and the Wait List policy will be in effect.
WAIT LIST
We maintain and strictly adhere to an ordered waitlist. If the Registrar contacts you with a preschool place, you have 48-hrs to accept. After 48-hrs the Registrar will contact the next family on the list and so on. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
PAYMENT OF FEES
It is the parents' responsibility to ensure that fees are paid.
Fees are payable whether or not your child attends all the sessions to which they are entitled. Fees will not be refunded for illness, holidays or other unforeseen circumstances.
A charge of $20 will be levied for any cheques not honoured by the bank and it is the responsibility of the parents' to ensure that funds are replaced (including bank charges) within 10 days to the Financial Coordinator with a certified cheque, money order, e-transfer or cash.
All cheques are payable to Windsor Park Nursery School. Please write your child's name on the memo line of each cheque.
WITHDRAWAL FROM THE PROGRAM
To withdraw from the program after acceptance, you must inform the Registrar by 1st August. Tuition will be refunded except for 2 month's tuition. Less than 1 months notice to withdraw results in a penalty of 1 additional month's tuition fees. There will be no refunds after 1st March of the current school year.
