Night practices:
Night practice is for ages 7+ on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:00-5:45. Night practice is for an alternative when swimmers have school, VBS or camps during morning practices. Night practices are not designed as a permanent replacement for morning practices due to varying levels that are present at night practice. Swimmers are allowed to attend 5 night practices a season.
Swimmers will see teammates arriving to the pool for swim meets with stuff written all over their arms. Classify under "weird swimmer things," but it is the best way to keep young swimmers on track at meets. The Clerk of Course, coaches, and teammates can glance at this grid of information and know how to help young swimmers know where to go and when to race.
Parents can find swimmers race information in the heat sheet or in the Swimmingly app. Generally this will be emailed the night before the meet, or you can check the app the evening before the meet.
Swimmers need the following information written in a grid on their arm:
Event - Heat - Lane or E - H - L can be found on the heatsheet like the picture. Or this info is available in the Swimmingly app for dual meets.
Important Notes:
Please have your heat sheet printed or swimmingly downloaded so you will be able to keep up with your child's events.
The morning of the meet, you’ll apply sunscreen first. Give that plenty of time to soak in.
Please have your child's name and swimmingly number written on his/her right shoulder.
Write your child’s events on their arm.
E - H - L
1 2 3
3 4 6
Pack towels, water, plenty of snacks, something fun to do with their friends between events.
Be at check-in on time.
