Alright, so a lot has changed in the past year. My grandmother passed away last spring. I got really into crochet. Finally started my own garden after years of traveling. Joined the horticultural society and the city band. Sang for a cover band. Launched a new online shop via Fourthwall, selling the aforementioned crochet and also offering tarot readings on a donation basis. Undertook a small car conversion project that included sewing my own custom cushions/suitcases, removing my back seats, and creating a sort of functional storage pad from nothing but my own imagination. Moved to a new city with no solid guarantee of stability, but the plan I laid out worked pretty flawlessly. Pet sitting business is going very well. Now come the lovely things I'm working on next -- a new website coded with HTML on Neocities, a 2026 New Years goal of collecting 760 rejections before 2027, partly finished projects I fully intend to complete and share with you all, and probably a cool release of new and improved crochet pieces that reflect how much that craft has grown over the past year or so. Lots to share, very soon!
Just me rambling on some of these things and more. Dated August 20th, 2025
Ahhhhh!!! I'm so excited for this. I've been such a chicken and postponed posting covers for such a long time. I made a deadline to do it yesterday and gosh darn it, I did it! Be forewarned, these first few are definitely more raw and unpolished, but I plan to spruce them up as I get used to posting on YouTube in general. I have many plans, but not as much time, so it will likely be a gradual development. In the meantime, you can listen to what I have already posted on this playlist.
From now until November 6th, ALL of the puzzles in my shop will be available to purchase for only 2 cents each. Why? I really care about creating high quality products that my customers enjoy, and I don't feel like people should need to gamble their money on a purchase to decide if they like what they see. I also value honest feedback on my work and want to know what works well and what I need to improve on. I want your two cents, literally and figuratively. If you like what you see, please consider buying an item from the shop and let me know what you think!
The featured item for sale this week is my "Puzzle Primer for the Beginning Witch", a 32-puzzle booklet containing cross words, word searches, mazes, and cryptograms, complete with witchy topics and imagery. You can see a sample of the puzzles contained in the book within the images on the right. For more information on this product and others, please take a gander at my Ko-Fi shop!
Looking after nine newborn puppies and their mother in Arizona. All accounted for!
For the last two years, my travel partner and I have been house and pet-sitting full-time in homes across the United States. During that time, we have had the pleasure of looking after homes in more than 50 house-sits in nine different states, caring for dogs, cats, farm animals, houseplants, and gardens. You can now book us for house-sits on Rover or through this site on my About page (until I find a better place for it). Coming soon is an awesome gallery with photos of some of our beloved clients and a section detailing our experience accumulated during this time. For those who love deals, we have some promo codes and discounts available for new members on Rover and Trusted Housesitters.
What's going on lately? This summer has been filled with adventure and fun. I have narrowed my traveling circuit to the PNW for the time-being, with the hopes of settling down into the area. We completed a series of house-sits in Bend and Eugene and will be in Spokane for a couple events doing henna tattoos! I'm super excited to add this skill to my repertoire. I started with the Deschutes County Fair at the beginning of this month and absolutely loved it, so I'll be testing the waters in Spokane to see how things go.
Today there is an exciting new development to share: the launching of my partner's YouTube channel, Hanging Out with Sam Francis.
Sam and I have been living nomadically and traveling across the US since 2021. During that time, Sam has had the opportunity to reunite with many childhood friends that he grew up in Scientology with. Sam's channel will be exploring his experiences in Scientology in interviews with friends as well as sharing his travel adventures and original music. I will be appearing on the channel often as I help Sam with the more technical side of YouTube.
With this video comes the promise of content through two other YouTube channels: Wild Free Kelly Green and The San Tan Bandits (a shared channel with Sam). The first will contain much of what you see here on the site, and the second is our band/travel blog. Another update coming soon!
I've recently joined Threads, a spin-off app(?) from Instagram. I had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by my experience on it thus far. I wrote an article on my initial experience with Threads for those who are interested in learning more. Essentially, I find the space to be fairly positive compared to other social media apps and there is a kind community there made up of people who are very willing to lift each other up and be supportive. All great things!
To connect with me on Threads, you can visit the app through my Threads link on Instagram, or just search for me (@wildfreekellygreen) on either platform.
I've been permanently banned from Etsy for no reason in particular, and there's nothing I can do to restore my shop. I'd heard of many other small business owners who had the same problem and hoped that I'd somehow manage to avoid that fate. Nope.
My digital products are still available for sale on my Gumroad page for now. If and when I discover more ethical Etsy alternatives, I'll be sure to link them on my site.
I recently released another puzzle set in my Etsy shop, this one a 12-piece winter maze collection for $1.79. There are now individual mazes available for sale for 25 cents each, in case anyone is interested in sampling a puzzle before committing to a full set.
I'm beginning a new chapter in this business (and this life) and am excited to share it with you once it's finished. Stay tuned for what that entails, and in the meantime I hope you all have a lovely holiday season and wonderful new year!
The first series of bottle cap paintings are now available for sale! This change brings with it the new Gallery, where all of my bottle cap paintings are able to be seen with the option of buying those that are currently available. I am currently selling them locally through Facebook Marketplace, but I sense shipping via Etsy will be available sometime in the not-so-distant future.
Two of my bottle caps were sold before I even had the chance to post them online. I'm extremely grateful for the support I've received in starting this business. Thank you!
A fresh article titled, "Thriving on Trusted Housesitters: A Comprehensive Guide to Sitting Success," was released on my Medium blog yesterday. In it, I attempt to share basically all of the tips and tricks my partner and I acquired over our first year of housesitting on the platform. For those who are interested in becoming members, there is also a referral link here and within the article for a 25% discount off of a new membership.
I recently began working on my first series of physical products: a dainty collection of acrylic bottle cap paintings. Each painting contains a magnetic backing and is sealed with mod podge to prevent chipping. I will likely attempt to sell these at my local market first, and if/when I get over my ridiculous resistance to sending packages through the mail, I may make these available through my Etsy shop.
Much of my attention has been focused on developing my physical presence at the markets, but I look forward to expanding my site and Etsy shop to include more digital products, articles, and other creative projects.
Today marks the launch of this website, where I'll be sharing the most recent updates on my Etsy shop, blog, and other creative endeavors. Continue reading for more news!
All of the socials are up and running, so don't be a stranger and reach out! Which platforms will stay and which will go will be dependent on where there is engagement, but it would be neat to have conversations and updates across them all. Check for your favorite platform at the bottom of this page or under the Contact page.
