Special Traits and Mutations

Equids that have two sets of genes. This means that the equid displays two different coats and quipping patterns

• Foals of chimeras only display one set of the chimera parent’s genetics

• Which set is used for the foal can be requested when ordering the breeding

Very rare chance of being produced at random in breedings (5% chance of occurring)

• The individual submitting the breeding can request that this is not rolled for breedings where they do not wish the chance of a chimera to be produced. This is not counted as one of your requests.

Tokens purchased from the ARPG can be used to boost the chances of inheritance of the above by 10% - this needs to be added to the RPG prizes list

The equid pictured is a Chestnut and Black Chimera

Somatic traits have a 10% chance of passing down to their offspring

• The individual submitting the breeding can request that this is not rolled so the somatic trait will not be passed down

Traits included:

• Bloody Shoulder markings / Somatic Grey

• Birdcatcher spots

• Bendor spots/grease spots

• Cobwebbing / Lace

• Reverse Dapples

• Somatic Roaning

• etc.

Quipless equids still produce a foal with quipping

• Even if two quipless are bred together, a random quip style is chosen.

Foals can inherit any quip style from their quipless parent.

Quipless equids have a 1% chance to produce a foal with an event quip type during an event month 

• The event quip type would reflect the current event month type it was bred in

Ragtail is guaranteed to pass during a breeding with 2 ragtail parents.

Otherwise, it has a 50% chance to pass during a breeding with 1 ragtail parent

Breeding an arctic equid to another arctic equid will have a 50% chance for an arctic equid

Breeding an arctic equid to a regular or ragtail equid will have a 25% chance for an arctic equid

If your breeding does not result in an arctic equid, there is a 50% chance it will pass a ragtail equid. This roll is completed after the arctic rolls and is done regardless of the second equid type in the breeding. You can choose to opt out of this roll if you would like.

Roan has a 50% chance to pass during a breeding with 2 roan parents.

Or a 25% chance to pass during a breeding with 1 roan parent

Inherited by a random percentage chance, depending on the pairing of the parents, as outlined below

• Heterochromia x Heterochromia = 50% chance to pass down (1/2)

• Heterochromia x Regular equid = 25% chance to pass down (1/4)

• Regular equid x Regular equid = 5% Random chance (1/20)
