Do not trash your clothes, accessories, shoes or toys. instead, bring them to the farmer markets. They are located all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and The Bronx. To see the drop off locations: https://www.grownyc.org/clothing
And from time to time, GrowNYC organize a stop "n" swap event where you can bring the clothes and accessories you do not use anymore and go back home with something new-to-you. To check the next events: https://www.grownyc.org/swap

Wear THINX as a replacement or back-up to traditional period products.
Depending on your flow (light, medium, heavy), these period-proof undies can replace pads, liners, and tampons, or be worn with tampons and cups for extra protection. Like regular underwear, but so much better. ✨🙌
"Every 4–12 hours (depending on the amount of flow), the cup is removed, emptied, rinsed, and reinserted. After each period, the cup should be boiled for at least 5 minutes and stored for use the next month. " Tip: Add some Baking sode when you boil it to keep it Transparent and visually clean!
"One cup is reusable for up to five years or more. This makes their long-term cost lower than that of disposable tampons or pads, though the initial cost is higher. Menstrual cups are also promoted as more practical and eco-friendly than pads and tampons. Given that the menstrual cup is reusable, its use greatly decreases the amount of waste generated from menstrual cycles, as there is no daily waste and the amount of discarded packaging decreases as well."
The use of menstrual cups is considered a safe option relative to other forms of menstrual hygiene.
Many brands designed their own models, and safe even if you have an IUD:
· 1/2 teaspoon finely grated soap
· 1/2 teaspoon activated charcoal
· 3 drops almond oil (can substitute for coconut or any oil you like)
· 1/8 teaspoon purified water
Keep your empty mascara containers or ask your friends to collect them ;)
