Much of what I believe about teaching and learning was influenced by reading Calvin and Hobbes as I grew up.

I am a passionate explorer of educational technology, failing forward, G Suite for Education, formative assessment, student-centered classrooms, the growth mindset, and professional development best practices for educators. I love being a teacher and I am always striving to grow as a teacher and learner.
I began teaching U.S. and World History at HD Jacobs High School in Algonquin, IL. I then moved over to the Science Department to teach Physical Science and Habitat Restoration. My next stop was Still Middle School in Aurora, IL where I taught 8th Grade Science. I then moved on to Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL where I've taught Physics, Earth Science, Chem/Phys, and AP Environmental Science . I've coached track, basketball, and football during my 20+ years in Education. Currently, I do my best to serve my learning community as a 0.6 Technology Coordinator and a 0.4 AP Environmental Science Teacher at Neuqua.
