As an instructor I wrote choreography, scheduled and directed rehearsals. I developed and enforced contracts and disciplinary actions in accordance with the school handbook attended school board, budget, and booster meetings.
As Director of Saginaw Heritage Marching Hawks Color Guard and Winter Guard, I arranged a putt-putt golf outing to gain community support and provide additional fundraising. In our debut season we rose from 13th place to end in 3rd overall in the Michigan Competitive Color Guard (MCGC) Michigan A class. In my first season as a flag technician with South Lyon High School Bands I was able to see them compete at Bands Of America (BOA) Grand Nationals preliminary performance in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I've served as visual and auxiliary staff for Clio, Henry Ford II, South Lyon, Nouvel Catholic, and Saginaw Heritage High Schools.
(2001-2004, 2009)
I was actively involved in the Plymouth Canton Educational Park Marching Band as a dancer and member of the Color Guard. I loved to perform under the stadium lights at halftime, but especially have fond memories of Bands of America Grand National Championships where we finished 2nd, 3rd, and 9th. We also traveled to Walt Disney World to participate in Magic Music Days and perform in the New Years Eve Parade. Additionally, I performed with the Central Michigan University Marching Band Color Guard and Ancora Winter Guard.
