About Me:
A millennial by birth but a Generation Xer at heart, I'm a Libra originally from Plymouth Michigan. I've hopped around a bit living in Mount Plesant, Saginaw, Clio, Davison, Burton, Perry, & now Lansing. I enjoy kayaking, watching football, boating, camping, bonfires and snowboarding. I also have an interest in photography, English, thrift stores, writing, art history, interior decorating, and Apple Computers. I helped to form the 1st computer club my elementary school ever had, and now I design websites for small businesses in my spare time. I love exploring nature and new places, taking walks & visiting parks with my dog, Zeppelin. I'm a huge fan of Shakespeare, especially The Tempest, Romeo & Juliet, and Hamlet.
I have a younger brother, Trevor, who lives in Grand Rapids with his wife. He received his Masters from Grand Valley State University and teaches math. My parents, both retired, used to spend their summers in Higgins Lake, Michigan at our "cottage” my paternal grandparents had built in 1989 which they just sold and turned into an Air B&B! They nkw are full time Floridians living on Marco Island, Florida where my Poppop (maternal grandfather) lived. His claim to fame is that he wrote the music for The Ballpark Frank Plumping Song!! Check it out in the Detroit Free Press Sunday paper October 3, 1971 on page 56!
In 2004, I graduated from Plymouth-Canton High School. I coached Color Guard & Winter Guard for 14 seasons at Central Michigan University and various Michigan High Schools including Henry Ford II, South Lyon, Saginaw Heritage, Nouvel Catholic, and Clio. I graduated in 2011 from the Charles S Mott Community College Honors Program in Flint, Michigan before tramsfering to the University of Michigan - Flint. I have been with the staffing company EDUStaff, LLC since 2019 working as a ceritfied k-12 substitute teacher in Shiawassee and now Ingham County School Districts.
I love pizza, pasta, choclate and bread. Mmmm carbs! Also, Dr. Pepper fountain pop! My favorite movie is Dead Poet's Society; I also like a variety of musicals including The Newsies. I'm a huge fan of Lifetime's show Dance Moms. My musical tastes include the likes of clasic rock such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, as well as 90's pop/ alternative, country, and even Motown classics. The Great Wave of Kangawa by Katsushika Hokusai is a blockprint that someday I'd like to make into a tattoo sleeve.. The color I like most is orange.
