10 Daily Agenda and Homework

“Work hard, be kind and amazing things will happen.”

Conan O'Brien.

Happy End of School!

Dear Students,

Happy last days of school! You have completed all your essential learning assignments for English 10. Yay! This week I only have a brief form for you to complete. If you would like to offer feedback about the class this year, please click this link End of Year Feedback to answer the questions. You will need to sign in to Office 365 to complete the form.

Thank you for all your hard work these last few months. This was an incredibly challenging learning environment and I know we are all ready for a summer break. (I know I am.) I wish that I could say goodbye in person, but hopefully I will see you in the fall. I am crossing my fingers that we have school in the building in some capacity next year. I really miss teaching in person.

You have been a great class. Each one of you is so thoughtful and unique; you are the reason I love my work. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching you this year. Stay curious and engaged and you will do well in the years to come.

If you need to contact me, I am on email through Tuesday, June 23, 2020. For the rest of the summer, I check email sporadically so contact the office if it is urgent.

Please take care of yourselves and your families.

Sincerely,

Jana White

Weekly Agenda

The Weekly Agenda is below. On Monday each week, I will post and send (via Skyward) learning activities. I am also using Office 365 Teams to make everything easier for you to access. You may work through them at your own pace, but be mindful of deadlines. Please note that I have dedicated office hours on Tuesdays and Fridays. At these times I will be more immediately available through email. If you have trouble accessing a document or link, please let me know. You might need to copy and paste links into the browser to view videos or content.

Welcome Back to School!

Classes start on Wednesday, September 4, 2019

Classes start after lunch and run on a special schedule with 25 minute periods. Students get to visit all their teachers on Wednesday. If you are new to the school, I suggest you print a school map and mark a route for getting to your classes. Remember: the First number is the Floor and the second number is the Wing. See the afternoon schedule below...

Independent Reading Book

For English this year, you will set independent reading goals and work toward reaching them each quarter. If you already have a book of choice, start bringing it to school on Monday. Otherwise, I will be happy to help you find a book that suits you. There are so many great books out there!

Daily Supplies for English

Please pick up supplies for class and bring them to school by Monday, September 9, 2019. If for any reason this is a hardship for you, please reach out to me. Just email whitej2@issaquah.wednet.edu

You will need the following:

  • 1-inch, 3 ring binder, dedicated to English
