Mrs. White's English

The remote learning weekly schedule is posted on the Daily Agenda Homework Page. Each Monday, I will also email a copy of the schedule. Please check your Skyward messages or check your junk/spam email folder.

Students should continue to read their books of choice. To meet essential learning requirements, read 500 pages total for the semester. To get credit make a Book Talk in Flipgrid.

Email me at whitej2@issaquah.wednet.edu if you have any questions. I will be checking email regularly.

The best way to reach me is by email. I am happy to talk in person, so if you'd prefer to chat by phone, send me your number and I will call you back when I am not teaching. Students can also make an appointment to see me before school, after school or during NEST time on Tuesday or Wednesday.

A Little About Me...

I have lived and taught in the Seattle area for 20 years. I live in Issaquah with my husband, two almost-grown kids and a crazy black lab named Ryder. This is my first year teaching at IHS. I have my BA in English and M.Ed. , both from Western Washington University, and I've taught all levels of English from 7th-12th grade. Most recently I taught at St. Joseph School in Snoqualmie. My passion is teaching reading and writing. If it is raining, I love to tuck in with a good book and a good cup of coffee. Otherwise, you can find me hiking on Squak Mountain most weekends, cooking with my family most weeknights, skiing with my husband in the winter, or traveling in the summer. I count my lucky stars everyday that I get to live and work in such a great community.
