I am using the bottom cart to store cat litter and the top to store scoops to clean and fill the litter box. (There is additional room for litter bags in the top box, but I have the bags hanging on a hook nearby.) This works perfectly! I wheel it out of the way to sweep or wash the floor and wheel it into position to add litter to their boxes as needed. (The bottom cart holds 75+ pounds of litter, rolls easily on a tile floor, and is sturdy and stable. I dump the litter into the cart and immediately recycle the empty containers. The cart and storage box take up about the same floor area as a large container of litter, which container I had to keep moving to clean and lifting to tip more litter into the boxes and I had to find additional space to store spare litter containers. I buy the dust-free litter in cardboard boxes and no longer have to worry about the cardboard getting wet and failing.) The lids of both the rolling cart and the top box are hinged, so you just swing them open and closed (and don't have to remove, temporarily store, and replace the lids). This was worth every penny!

So, I wish I would have orderd this sooner. It fits the whole big bag of cat food inside. You could also dump the bag of food inside as well since it has a lid locking system. The smaller on goes on top, which I placed the bag of dry kitten food inside. The wheels are placed inside the holes at the bottom. And you have to push them in. Meaning they won't slide out if you picked up the larger container. Really one of my great buys. Very happy I have it. Also, the plastic is not some thin plastic. It's a good thickness to it, so it's not easy for your fur children to get into. I definitely recommend this storage product.

I have two dogs. One small and one big. We use the top canister for the small dog as she eats less and the bottom for the big dog. It comes with wheels that you can apply or leave off. We added them for easy mobility when moving around the kitchen if we need to sweep/mop. Hard plastic makes it nice and sturdy. The only concern I have is the latch on the big compartment doesn't latch properly.
