A simply designed necessity

Run, don’t walk, to your mailbox when this gets delivered. You never realize how many coats of fluff are hiding under the other coats of fluff until you start brushing. I would recommend the slide-button option over the button, however; I literally broke my thumb nail off trying to push the button down. It’s designed so you have to push down so hard it’s just not as easy to use. The brush itself is amazing though

Works Fine But Not Decent Quality for Price
Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2023
I purchased to replace a competitor's brush which I somehow misplaced. Loved this lost brush as it easily removed tangles, excess undercoat and unraveled matts easily without pain to my dog. He actually laid down and rolled over begging to be brushed with it.
I have a double coated long-haired medium sized dog.
This brush scares my baby. He fights me while using. I can see a medium haired dog not minding the brushing but with a longer haired dog, the bristles just do not reach down to just above the skin to work properly.
Disappointed but will keep until I find my "lost" brush.
Pros:
Easy to retract the bristles to fully remove fur/hairs from the brush.
Push Button to lock bristles into place is a good feature.
Good Rubber/Silicone Handle that doesn't slip out of palm.
Overall brush size is good.
Cons:
Cheap hollow plastic construction that isn't on par with competition.
Took more than 5 days to arrive when Amazon stated overnight arrival.
Bristles are shorter than most slicker brushes so do not dig into and remove tangles and dead hair.
Handle is not ergonomically shaped thus awkward when handling.
Overall a decent brush but how long it will hold up is yet to be determined. Will probably give to a friend with a shorter haired dog once my beloved slicker brush is located.

Wish I Had Ordered It Sooner

I have purchased many Walmart specials because I was in a pinch and the three pups I have needed a good brush. It always ends the same, with the brushes in the trash. This handle is thicker and pretty heavy duty in comparison to others we have used. And we have various breeds: goldendoodle, English springer spaniel, and a Yorkie. And the kids love helping brush all the pups with the intent to push the button at the end to get the hair off so it’s clean again. Just wish I had ordered it sooner!

Great!

This was a steal of a deal for how great it works. Long hair and short hair cats, it’s durable enough to take on both. The brush makes my cats so soft and gets at their undercoat and I can tell the cats are comfy and happy when I am doing it. The purple look of the brush will also make sure you never lose it! Lol

Works well, easy to clean!

Brushes well (like any bristled brush, be careful of the pressure you exert on your pet's coat). The best feature is that you are able to just push the hair right off the brush - no more digging forever with squished fingers or trying to use a fork to get all of the hair out!

Just wish it were a little smaller…

Even the “small” is quite large for a cat. A smaller round/ oval brush would be more ideal. Other than that it works great.
hey did also send the wrong one (standard) at first despite ordering the small/ sensitive skin.

Grabs a lot of fur, almost too much!
Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2023
We recently added a medium-hair cat to our family, and he needs some serious regular brushing that goes beyond what most of our brushes are capable of handling. We bought a few brushes to try, and this is one of the best we found. The only issue is that when we do what is usually a ‘normal’ long brush stroke on other brushes with this brush, the teeth can hold on and pull enough that we could drag our poor kitty along the floor just by brushing him. So if your pet has longer hair, just do lighter brushes on smaller sections at a time as you work through all the tangles.
Also, I don’t really like the way the fur removal works, it feels awkward to do. You have to retract the bristles to remove the fur, and the button to do it interferes with your grip on the handle when you’re brushing.
Despite that, this is a good addition to any fur-management tool set.

Best dog hair brush ever!
Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2023
It works! It works better than any other brush I have ever had for my dogs since I've had dogs. It is so easy to keep all the hair contained so it isn't flying around the room or the yard. She seems to enjoy being brushed with this one but didn't seem to enjoy any of the others I have used. This is the only dog brush I will ever use. Buy it, you won't regret it!
