THE GREEN SUITCASE

In African wisdom, the earth is not seen as a resource to be exploited, but as a living entity, often considered sacred or a "mother" that nourishes and preserves collective memory. 

Africa is addressing environmental challenges through a combination of large-scale projects and local innovations aimed at green and resilient development. Although the continent contributes minimally to global emissions, it is among the most vulnerable to climate change, which is why current initiatives focus on ecosystem protection and economic sustainability.

African activism is often led by women, following the legacy of Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement, who planted over 51 million trees. Today, figures like Cécile Ndjebet continue this mission by promoting women's rights in forest management.

Exploring Africa! A travel to Kenya!

From Australia, we flew to Africa, and especially to Kenya, where we discovered a fascinating world full of culture and adventure. We learned about African traditions, tasted traditional food, explored impressive monuments, and admired beautiful works of art.

During our journey, we visited the savannah and met many wild animals in their natural habitat. One of the most memorable moments was our interview with Tempo, an African elephant, who kindly asked us to protect the Earth and all the animals that live on it.

We also traveled to Lake Nakuru, where we were amazed by the breathtaking sight of thousands of pink flamingos. Throughout our African adventure, we celebrated Earth Day with a variety of exciting activities in every school, learning how important it is to care for our planet and create a more sustainable future.

A special highlight of our project was the online meeting for Africa. During the meeting, we shared our experiences, presented our work, and celebrated together everything we had learned about this amazing continent.

Our trip to Africa was an unforgettable experience filled with knowledge, discovery, and a deeper appreciation for nature, culture, and the world around us.
